Hello
I wanted to ask what would be ideal day and night temp for fattail?

I have a fishtank room which I think would be great as some humidity the temp is 80 during day 76 at night .

The room is "heated" by ac vents being closed . Not sure if this temp would be good for a fattail?

I can add UTH if needed ?

thanks

that sounds perfect to me. they might like it a wee bit hotter in the day (if they have a place to retreat to when they get too hot), but 80 is just fine.

You need the ground in the geckos tank to be 88-92 degrees. Just because the air is 80 that doesn't mean the floor will be. You need to use a UTH (Under Tank Heat) controlled by either a thermostat or a rheostat. The tanks in the room may help keep the ambient humidity up but you should also have a humid hide as well.

Leave the UTH on 24/7. Natural nighttime temp drops are just fine.

Thanks after last post said its pretty good but could be wee bit hotter . I decided to use a cobra UTH and ordered it earlier when I ordered a few things for my fish.

I was only planning to use it the "cooler" months thought maybe to warm ?

It shouldn't get too warm if it is hooked to a thermostat or rheostat. The addition of the heating pad lets the AFT decide where is wants to go and it also aids in digestion and metabolism.

My UTH's run 24/7/365. They are controlled by rheostats that get adjusted as needed. If the room gets too warm then the rheostat turns off the UTH.
