If i Post pictures of 3 Baby frogs my daughter caught at a local pond, would someone be able to help me identify them? I am thinkin maybe bullforgs but seem kinda small??
Im good at identifying most herps, however, this one is a bit tricky. If there were dorsal lateral ridges, I couldn't see them. If you told me what state you were in, I could probably figure it out.
It's deifnitly a bull frog or Green Frog, Im guessing Bull too. It doesnt matter much, as the care for both is identical (exept some bullfrogs need bigger enclosures).
Hmm...start out with insects such as crickets, mealworms, superworms, waxworms. cockroaches or any simular sized insects (its not a bad idea to feed local insect species to the frog if it was wild caught in your area). If it is a bull frog and grows to 5-6"+, then you can feed it small mice, but only every two weeks.
