Lol I know the all caps thing makes it difficult to read but I felt like releasing some tension. I don't post a lot but I do lurk and sometimes I see people quoting the wiki as if it makes them the authority. YES we can all read, but no, reading the wiki and regurgitating what you read at every opportunity you can to seem knowledgeable really doesn't make you look smart at all.


**disclaimer** the wiki is a good resource and I do recommend it often times to people first starting out. But remember even too much of a good thing.........

I agree to some extent. What irritates me is when people rip out quotes from any wiki and acts like it's their own worlds to make themselves seem intelligent. I haven't been on the forum enough as of recently to see if that's a major occurance on here however I have seen it on other sites and it pisses me off a lot.

James you make a good point. The last time I looked a bunch of stuff needed updated or corrected, so people could be reading incorrect things and taking it as truth. Honeslty, I've found this one of the best places for information-if one utilizes the search box, a LOT of information can be found.

One thing I tell people all the time, if you want to sound intelligent when spewing out information you don't really know about either check more than one source or admit you don't know that much.
