Im about to get an iguana from someone nearby and I was wondering for all you iguana owner out there what do you feed your iguana? I've been trying to find a nice diet combo from this site http://www.greenigsociety.org/foodchart.htm But Im still indecisive of what to make / buy.

That site has good information. When I had iguanas, I would feed a staple of mostly collard greens with a mixture of turnip, mustard ,and dandelion greens. I shredded carrots and squash on top. and used mango as a treat. I used calcium with d3 almost every feeding. and a vitamin supplement once a week. There is a lot of choices when It comes to feeding your iguana. follow the guidelines on that site and come up with something your iguana likes. Find out what the current owner is feeding also they may already have a good diet that works for him/her. Good luck!

Can't wait to see pics! I sure hope the owner is feeding her more then just kale. Kale is ok in small amounts but not as a staple. At least from what I remember. I could be wrong.

The trick is to feed multiple things at once and don't fall into a routine where you give one or two things only.

Thanks guy =) Well I got to the lady and she said she'd deliever it today but I think I'll just get her to meet me somewhere and pick it up. Cant wait! I've already got plan to make a bigger cage for her. With Leo I cant really go all out w/ decoration (space) but with this guy Im planning to do a 6'H X 4'L 3'W cage leave me with alot of room for decoration! By the way Im thinking of putting a pool in the cage (the whole bottom is water) cause I saw some model of cages that was like that, would this be a good idea or should I just put substance at the bottom instead

The entire bottom of the cage should not be water, but the bottom of the pool can be as long as it's not to slick and the animal can easily get in and out.
