So as some of you know I left the gecko world and got into boas. Due to a move I sold off my boa collection, and haven't had any reptiles for a few months. Today, on impulse (bad I know, but at least I can care for it properly) I bought a baby ball python. It is unsexed currently and hopefully I can find someone locally who can help me out with that. I'm new to the ball python world, and have no clue about them other than general care, so this will be a learning experience. So far it is much calmer than my boas were, so that's a plus. Anyways, the guy had 8 babies in the tank, and all the others were dark and brown, while this one stood out and was very yellow.

Also, I think I'll be starting over in the gecko world again soon as well now that I'm back in florida and have re learned to do things without the other half (yes, our break up was the reason for me getting out of geckos, it was our thing together and felt weird after we went our separate ways)

Anyways, on to pics, more than likely it is just a normal but I can always hope for a score :p

Welcome back Richard. It may be a low grade Pastel, but I can't tell for sure from those pictures. Either way it's a nice ball. Just don't rush into them like you did with the geckos, otherwise you'll be broke in no time! Ball's are no joke when it comes to cost for breeder quality ones. Trust me, I just sold my first born to finance a new project! :main_evilgrin: Kidding of course.

Can't see the eyes yet since they're capped to shed. Just got it yesterday. Will get better pics once the shed is over. Won't be going as nuts to start with the balls. Probably going to buy an adult 1.1 pair of pastels or cinnamons to start off and see how I do with that before I get too deep. I will be re starting with Leo's and cresteds soon though, and you already know I'm about to be broke again :p

Richard it looks to me that you've got a nice looking pastel there! If you look at the head its blushed out a bit. I'm saying pastel and a decent one at that. Congrats and welcome back!

Looks like a pastel to me too, as mentioned with the light head area. If you're back in the Tampa area, there's a show in a month that someone can sex it for you and perhaps a morph confirmation in person.

It has too normal of a pattern to be a pastel, and lots of normals also have a faded head. Having green eyes would be a better confirmation, but I don't see any blushing/fading or flames.
