Hi guys.

First, sorry for my English...I'm a Brazilian guy living in san diego. (and learning english) :)

I will get my first geckos on Thursday. I bought everything they need but I have some questions.

I got:

- Pure Calcium
- Calcium with D3
- Miner-ALL and Vitamins

My question is about the Vitamins.

Where should I put this? On the container with meal worms?
On the dish? or i just dust my meal worms and give to my geckos?

I'm reading about this on many sites but has a lot of different answers.
Someone can help me?!

thank you

Keep in mind that everyone does things differently. Personally, I give vitamins once a week with crickets and calcium with d3 once a week with mealworms. The other five days are calcium with mealworms. I changed this a little bit for my gravid female. Good Luck!

I have a mealworm dish and put pinch of calcium in the dish and then put a pinch of vitamins with D3 and then mix..that lasts for 3 weeks probably depending on how many mealworms i put in the dish is how much of the calcium and vitamins i put on them

Im happy to hear your getting a gekko and I''m even more happy that you come to such a great site for advice!!! Post some pictures of the gecko.

From what I have read, too much D3 can be harmful since UVA/UVB is needed to help digest and efficiently use D3. Leos are noctornal, thus no need for UVB. I use it twice a month with their vitamins, but I agree with bumping up the D3/calcium ratio more for gravid females. I always keep a small dish of plain calcium in their enclosures, and I will catch them licking from it on occasion. I guess they know when to regulate their own calcium needs.
