well, this section is a whole new language to me, its funny to read when you have absolutely no clue:D but im amased at some of the pics here in this section. im guessing you cant get most if any of these guys in the local petstore lol. from the outside looking in with no understanding to what is being said. it sounds like you guys and gals breed these to change different patterns, colors, eye color, and all that......i have to say im really facinated by this, i'd love to learn learn more about this stuff. dont really plan to do it, just curious and facinated is all. i am also amased at some of the cool looking gecko's that has been produced and posted on here. :main_thumbsup:

is there a book i can read that will help me learn more about this stuff, like a gecko morphs for dummies book? something to learn the terms too? lol

after searching the forum, i found this book being mentioned. REPTILE AND AMPHIBIAN VARIANTS: Colors, Patterns, and Scales. by H. Bernard Bechtel

does this book also explain the terms that you all use too. like amel, het, and all them kinds of terms? i'd like to get it just to ease some of my of curiosity.

do the same sort of genetics go for fat tails and other geckos too, just with different characteristics for the particular species?
