I'm guessing this is/was an egg?

My daughter has a male and female leopard gecko housed together in a 20 long. We've had them about 18 months. We've been watching them for breeding activity and haven't really seen anything happening. I check her underside occasionally to see if I can visually see any eggs but so far nothing. Well, yesterday I found this in there. I can only assume it is/was an egg. It was outside the nest/cave and sitting in the sand substrate. It was already shriveled looking so I removed it and poked it a little. Milky white liquid oozed out. I thought it might be too big to be an egg but what else could it be? If it's an egg I guess we need to step up and be better prepared for the next one!

It is an egg! Sadly, that gooey white slime is the substance that comes out when they are infertile. If its the females first time breeding this usually happens so dont fret! If you need anymore help on breeding you can send me a message and I can give you my email to discuss! Good luck.!

Thanks...we figured it was an egg. Definitely the only one so far. And yes it's her first time breeding, we've had her since a baby and introduced the male last October.
