I'm so bummed :(

In my third season I have my first dropped tail! And I don't even know what caused it, which is what's got me even more upset. It's my male hold back SHTB from the end of last season. I just got up cause it's too damn hot in the bedroom, need to kick the a/c on freeze, so I'll take pics later when I get back up and post.

Well, you know the same thing have happend with two of my hatchlings...
The tail has been gone in the morning and there is no good reason
And the funny thing is that it happend with one day apart and they are egg siblings...

"Come on big brother, I throwed my tail and it didn´t hurt a bit...now it´s your turn"

Thanks guys. I know he'll be fine I'm just so bummed that it happened. He's housed by himself as all my geckos are. I can't imagine what caused it. Zach never goes down into the herp room unless I'm there so I know he didn't go in there and startle him. He's the first one Zach peeks in on when he does go downstairs with me, cause he's Zach's favorite. He doesn't know yet, and I'm sure he's gonna be just as bummed as I am. Well that's enough of me rambling, here he is minus half his tail.

I just had it happen to me. This female was insanely fat, really gross you could see the muscles pulsating. First time, hope ir soesnt happen again! Maybe your male will get all orange to grow back in!

i opened the bin too fast and that was enough for her to dislocate it, i had to get it the rest of the way off

I'm sorry to hear that Felicia.. I have one adult male with a regrown tail but it looks great and isn't as large and plump as some others i've seen.. he's still a happy man and does just fine with the ladies..
