im suposed to be able to see the embryo right?

ok iv had yoshi's 'good' egg in the incubator at 86 since 1st march now and its grown loads and has blood vessels and looks healthy but when i candle it, i cant see anything inside except blood vessels... am i right in thinking this egg never developed fully for some reason and will not hatch?

Are the parents albino or het albino?

The reason I ask is that sometimes with albino babies in the egg you don't see much detail of the little one inside at all. Sometimes you can see a little something, sometimes, just the viens. At that temp it should be hatching any day.

i dont think she is het albino. i got her from a local pet shop and was just sold to me as normal. ill take a picture of the egg and show you

Are you measuring temps inside the incubator or in the egg container when you say the temp is 86?

A little clue, something I've noticed. When you see those veins disappear it's about to hatch.

Either way the egg looks great, just need to wait it out. Either it's gonna hatch or not, nothing you can do but wait.

im measuring in the incubator as iv got the eggs in an air tight thick plastic container so coudlnt get the probe in and be able to shut it. ill let you know if it hatches then i hope so, was worried it was a dud as i coudlnt see a dark embryo patch

Since you're measuring outside of the container I'll go with a temp of 84 or 85 in the egg container. This would give you about another week or so till it hatches.

Oh and look who's all cramped up on one side of the egg.

There are many times I've seen them all the way at the bottom of the egg, which may be the case with your egg. Like I said I wouldn't worry about it. Your egg looks great.
