About your leo:
- Sex: Male
- Age & Weight: Unknown age; extremely thin
- How long have you owned your leo: a few days
- Where was he/she obtained: Friend

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo: Only when I am taking it out to examine it and give it a bath.
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now: No. He usually lies around like he is now..
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe: He hasn't been eating, even with his previous owner.
B) Fecals
- Describe: When I found it it was a small ball that was white and brown.
- When was the last time he/she went: Yesterday.
C) Problem
Maple (the gecko) is extremely thin and lethargic. He has unshed skin around his eyes and mouth and on his feet. Some of his toes are crooked. He doesn't eat (and therefore doesn't poop). I have let him bathe in warm water to help his unshed skin and his possible impaction. He has a big blue bruise on his belly. I found a shed skin today but it came from his neck. I am worried that he will starve or die of the impaction though I am trying to do what I can to help.
Housing:
A) Enclosure
- Size: 10 gal.
- Type: Glass tank
- Type of substrate: Paper towel now, previously sand.
- Hides, how many, what kind: Three. One on the warm side, one on the cool, one moist.
B) Heating
- Heat source: Non-UV heat lamp
- Cage temps: No thermometer yet
- Method of regulating heat source: None
- What are you using to measure your temps: Nothing
- Do you have any lights: Sunlight from the window that lights the entire room.
C) Cage mates
- How many: None
- Describe health, or previous problems: No cage mates.

Describe Diet:
A) Typical diet
- What you're feeding: Mealworms. Daily.
- How are you feeding: Left in dish. Not touched since put out a few days ago.
B) Supplements
- What vitamin/minerals are you using: A white powder (Vitamin E I think) that my friend gave me.
- What are you gut loading food with: Oats.

Pictures from today, after replacing sand with paper towel.

I think two days ago, when he was still in sand. The same mealworms in both pictures, and he hasn't eaten any.

He could very well have an impaction, but it definitely also looks like it has mouth rot. This gecko is in bad shape and is in danger. If you want to save him, you'll need to take him to a vet.

In the meantime, you can get all of that stuck shed off. You can do a warm soak and use a q-tip or your fingers to gently pull the shed off.

Heat lamps are not a good heat source for leopard geckos. You need a UTH and a thermostat or lamp dimmer to regulate it. You also need a thermometer. Warm side temp should be 90 degrees.

Honestly, it he needs a vet or will probably die.

That gecko is in really bad shape. As previously suggested get it to a vet asap. While it very well may be impacted, it's most likely not eating because its upper jaw looks deformed from rot or metabolic bone disease. The pain from the condition of the jaw and eyes being blocked is probably preventing it from eating at all.
