Incubation container in disarray!

The good news is that I woke up to a mack snow hatchling in the incubator this morning.. Unfortunately, however, he had dug up the entire container by the time we found him! Pretty much every other egg in there was turned some way or another (but none were upside down). I had only been asleep for about 4-5 hours, so he couldn't have been in there longer than that (I always check right before bed). I fixed the entire container and re-positioned the eggs as they were.. they all still look pretty good. Do you think I found the eggs in time to save the embryos from drowning? The reason we have so many eggs together is because they were laid around the same time. There are 5 eggs total :main_huh:

PS - if they do go bad, how will I be able to tell? thanks

I just checked the eggs again and they still look good for now, it's been 4.5 hours or so

they should be fine and I think people aren't responding is because we cant tell you anything that would help except for doing what you have been doing normally. You could tell if the eggs go bad like any ordinary egg, Mold,deflation, smell.

I understand, I was just curious if this had happened to someone else and they could share their experiences.

Thanks for commenting, we're keeping our fingers crossed! I put the clutchmate that should also be hatching soon into it's own container just in case it decides to hatch while we're gone or sleeping, because the other four eggs are closer to eachother in age than that one. I'm also just going to start putting one clutch into a container from now on to ensure this doesn't happen again!

I'm holding out on everyone!! LOL, I'm just waiting on a digital camera. Mike's mom offered to let us borrow hers, but I don't think we can get it until tomorrow.. I can't wait, we've never taken digital pics of any of our geckos, so I'm going to have a lot of fun updating our entire website and everything :main_yes:

haha, ya i probably go on this forum 10 times a day and stay on for at least 15 min. everytime..

i'm glad everything is okay with your eggs Jess, and yes, i do have a little cold, its weird all the stuff that comes out when i cough
