I got my hova in the mail this am and got it set up for the last 2 hours it has been ranging from 85.5 to 86.0 so I think everything is good. I covered the holes and added a bag of water. now for the question. I will be using perlite do I get that ready now and in the incubator to start warming? or do I get it ready when I have eggs? my geckos bred about a week and half ago. I will be using the albey method if that helps any.

I'd do it a day or so before the eggs are expected, that way the eggs dont spend any more time out of the incubator than neccisary. If you dont have holes in the cups then you could just do it now, beacuse its not like the water will evaporate...

Jenn, different people do it different ways. I just wait until the eggs come. But I've also heard of people getting the container ready ahead of time and placing it in the incubator. It's really your choice. What you prefer.
