This year after all my troubles getting temps straight and constant, through the 3 power outages that we had and everything else I was able to hatch 17 perfectly healthy leos. Now they are starting to be able to be sexed and it appears that pretty much all of them are males. This is unusal because I had the temp set as a low mixed of 83-84 degrees. Would this be a temp to produce males or mixed normally. Just curious. I guess I need to lower the temp to 80.5 next year now that I was able to get everything constant to produce females.

For females i usualy take it to 81-82 F just to make certain, 83-84 is a bit too mid range i think.

I think it's a little too high now but it's suppose to be a mix which is what I was going for. It's the low end of the mixed temps but it produced mostly male which shouldn't happen until about 88 degrees not 84 degrees.

I incubated at 83 degrees this season and I'm getting a mix of both. Last season I started at 85 and got mostly males. I ended up switching incubators with the late season eggs and then I was able to get some females at 83.
