Hi, I've heard a lot of varying incubation times so I'm just wondering how long it will take my egg to hatch that has been incubating at around 81. My incubation doesn't keep a constant temperature, so sometimes it is a little lower or a little higher than 81. Thanks.

I hatched females in 54-56ish days at 81-83* temps.

males at 35-40 days at 86-88*

Watch your temps though. You don't want them to fluctuate too much.

below 78 for long periods is death to an egg. Fluctuations in temp can contribute to birth defects such as tail kinks and eye lid notches. Its best if you can get a quality incubator/thermostat that keeps temps constant in order to hatch eggs. Even a hovabator or cooler incubators work well.
--- and hovabators and diy coolers are cheap to buy/make respectively.

Crap! Dont say that Im not Ready!!!! On day 33 for eggs incubating at 89-90. I was hoping they wouldnt hatch until day 40.

I find I get hatches incubated 81-82 around 60 days or a little less. Incubated 88-90 around 40 days. I dont think I have had a hatchling hatch at 35 days.
