incubator problem?

hi i was wondering what kind of egg incubators u guys use or what kind you guys might suggest for someone who wants to breed on the small scale.
would u suggest a hovabator?

sry but one more ? what temp should u keep ur eggs at to get males and females

Hobabator's are ok, just make sure to use a proportional thermostat on them.

I'd go with either 85 or 86 to get a good even mix of males and females.

82 degrees will give you almost all females

85 ish will give you a mix of makes and females

88 will give you almost all males

I made my incubator. My dad is an HVAC technician, so I had him grab me a dead display fridge from the shop. It's equipped with flexwatt heat tape down the back and regulated through a Ranco Thermostat. It cost me about $80 total (flexwatt and thermostat) and can hold plenty.
