Infared opinions?

So i have UTH and a blue 75 w lamp...Im switching from the blue to a infared 50w because its very weak and winter is comming and it gets cold here...my question is do leos see the infared light?, someone at the pet store said they do ive read they dont...anyone use infared? any opinions on this?.

They can see something is there. What they see is unknown. Most do fine with it but there is a few that will not come out much when it's on.

personally all but one of my leo's don't seem to mind the infared lamps. I too use them during winter as my apartment stays cold and during the summer while A/C is running just for a little added ambient temp. I freq. find my leo's laying out in the open under the infared lamp. But the one does not like it he will go to the opposite side of the tank till it is off. So it all depends on your leo.
