So my lizard has been acting strange lately and its been worrying me. So I checked him out today and saw this. I though it was his shit and stand mixed together and it made him constipated. So I put him in some warm water to help losin it up so he could poop, but when I took a q-tip and tried to help remove it, it didn't seem like it was poop. There isn't a lizard vet near me at all so this place is the best I can get. Do any of you have a clue to what it could be???

Not sure what's going on but it is definitely something I would want checked out by a vet. Could potentially be life threatening if it is an infection or impaction. In the meantime, try soaking in warm water (85-90 degrees) for 10 mins twice a day and if you're keeping you geckos on sand I would switch to paper towels immediately. Best of luck!

It doesn't look like any prolapse I've ever seen. I see some stuck shed on the guys toes so my guess would be it is an issue that has stemmed from a lack of humidity. It could have started out as a bit of stuck shed or difficulty defecating from a lack of moisture in the environment and turned into an infection or impaction. Whatever it is the gecko needs to see a vet to have it properly diagnosed and treated.
