Infrared light

Can gecko's see infrared light.Reason i ask this is bc the night i got my gecko i tried to record her at night and i have a sony handy cam and it has nightvision which uses infrared light when i turned it on she seemed to notice it..

I use an infrared bulb in my gecko room. From what I have read the geckos can see it but it is at a comfortable spectrum for them. Mine are actually more active with the infrared light. I also have a sony handycam with the night vision function which is conveniently enhanced by that infrared bulb.

ok i just didnt want it to bother them..i use to have a peacock mantis shrimp and i know they can see all kinds of different light spectrum's...mine is still a baby and i dont know when she is eating so i wanna try and capture it on video at night. since she sleeps all day.

No. They are specifically for night viewing because they can't see it.
