Injection site never quite healed properly...

Back in august, one of our females stopped eating, lost over half her weight in a very short peroid of time and basically was feeling pretty sorry for herself, i thought she was not going to make it and very nearly had her "put down" but changed my mind to see if she would pull through. during her non eating stage i took her to several vets who all said they could find no reason she should not be eating, she's had x-rays, examinations,tests... you name it she's had it, cost me a fortune in the process but she's worth it. she was also given two injections(oct) of vitamins and calcium on each side of her torso as she hadn't eaten in so long, one of the sites scabbed over, which the scab has still not gone... when she sheds, skin gets caught around the scab increasing it's size, which did led to an infection taking hold after her first shed after the injections, which resulted in the area becoming very swollen and sore for her. i took her back to vet that gave her the injection who again said she was fine and there is nothing to worry about, even though she had not eaten for 4 months, was being syringe fed and had lost 2/3rds of her body weight and had a massively swollen lump where he had injected her! i was very angry at first as i thought this vet may have damaged an internal organ or something, but that would have presented it's self with another problem by now? i have been bathing the offending area daily with boiled(then cooled) water and then treating it with tamodine, this seems to have taken the swelling down and does not seem to bother her anymore, but there is still a scab. it got to the point where i had to syringe feed her with critical care formula(possibly the best £10 i have ever spent on her!) and crushed up bugs, she would not hunt nor look interested in food. then after a few weeks on formula she suddenly regained her appetite and now eats like a horse, she had a shed last week, and as i was soaking the area with the scab i noticed it had come away where she was pulling at the skin, under the scab is a hole!!!! there is still a hole from where he injected her! as i said i;I've been to several vets(none of them specialist as there are none in my area) and they all seemed perplexed... they wont even try to help, they just say, "yeah thats a hole but it will heal on it's own " and seem even less worried as she is now eating- it shows no sign of healing. she has had numerous fecal tests(once/twice a month since aug) for parasites/protozoa ect all of which have come back clean, so have all our other geckos/snake/skinks as i got a bit paranoid about crypto. i dont know what to do... no one seems worried enough to do anything about it, but it's been three months, that seems a long time for an injection site to heal, the other side healed just fine within about a week, i think i should also mention the offending side did bruise whilst the other side didn't. can any one help, or am i just worrying needlessly? i can post a pic of the area tomorrow once i get access to the photos.
sorry for such a long post, but i am at a loss at what to do now, the nearest specialist i have been told is 30 miles away, in an animal hospital, which i spoke to a receptionist who told not to bother bringing her unless she is VERY ill... it really disgusts me that a lot of people do not understand how we can have a bond with a reptile, just because they don't come when you call their name or show outward affection as say a dog or cat would, people seem to think( a few of my previous vet as well, which is why i no longer go to them) that if a reptile is ill, don't bother with it. get it put down and get another.... especially leopard geckos as they are not expensive! it's unbelievable!
Thanks Sacha

Injection site abscesses are not uncommon, especially with antibiotic and vitamin injections. Keep it dry so it will continue to scab. It may leave a scar.
