my leo has an abnormally sized bump under his left eye and his eye looks as if its puffed out and also looks like hes not able to close it. not sure if hes having trouble seeing or not but it looks painful. any input would be helpful

Can you post a picture of the eye in question? Any other history of the gecko (what the cage setup is, anything that may have caused the lump, etc) would also be helpful.

Oh geez, that does look painful. Poor guy. It almost looks like an ant bite to me. It could also be a nip from a feeder insect if you feed super worms or crickets. How does the actual eye itself look? I would really suggest taking him to the vets asap :/

the actual eye looks like it has puss, i dont think he can see too well personally...im gonna call the vet in the morning i dont think vets are open late?

Definitely take to the vet. It could be either a feeder insect bite, a lodged piece of substrate (unless you keep him on a smooth surface), or retained shed over the eye. In all cases, the vet will certainly be able to help!

Most vets are not open late at night, so you should probably call and leave a message tonight, or call the vet's office first thing tomorrow morning.
