Well i have a corn snake and i switched him from from pinky to fuzzy. SO last pinky i gave to a gecko. Never seen a happier gecko. Defrosted pinkys might be a good new food choice to a gecko that doesn't want too eat anything.

The problem with leos and pinkies is too much fat in the pinkies and leos aren't designed to digest BONE. However if you have a recovering female then maybe it might be ok but honestly I wouldn't do it.

yeh geckos CAN eat pinkies, but they really shouldnt. Like they are like a really nice treat for them and they seem to like it but its not good for them, too fattening, theyre not designed for it and very big, its like giving a kid a whole candy shop. lol.
Ihave gave mine some pinkies before and they seem to manage them fine but still...

I actually did a wonderful web search for field studies on leopard geckos, and they said they they do in fact eat baby rodents as well as bugs.

Would you happen to have any of the sites you got the literature from book marked... I'd love to see the studies.

They can eat pinkies, but better not to do it more than once a month. Its too "rich" for them.

They will also eat small lizards and even their own babies, if they are small enough. Leopard geckos are opportunistic predators, which basically means that they will eat anything and everything that they can fit into their mouths.

Leos are mainly insectovores, but are very hardy and can get by on almost any live meat, though it's not ideal.
