Introducing 2 females

Since we got the conversion kits for the 10 gallon tanks I've been half kicking around the idea of possible putting my two girls in together. Space really isn't an issue so it's not like it really needs to be done or anything, but seeing as at 10 gallon vertical tank would be way taller that the tank one is currently in I thought it might be nice for her if it's do able. Only thing I see as being a possible issue about this is Orion is smaller than Calypso. Seeing as that is an issue with leos, I wanted to get some feedback before even actually considering it if her saftey is at risk. I would rather keep them seperate since we have the space over having them fight because Caly is bigger. Anyone else ever introduce two females? They are by no meals babies, but are adults if that helps.

I have housed multiple geckos together, and whether or not breeders on this website view this as neglect or not, it has mostly been unsuccessful when there is a SIGNIFICANT size difference between the two. When I introduced a smaller, younger gecko in with my older one, he didn't attack her, but it seemed like he would hog the food and not let her sleep in the hide with him. I had to give her away because it wasn't working.

However, recently I got 2 that are around the same age and size and they get along fine, nobody is hungry and I make sure they all get to eat until they're full.

As of yesterday, a third gecko was introduced into my tank, a 20 gal, and so far so go. He is smaller than the younger of my previous 2, but seems to be no problems.

I say to let them live together, but provide 2 hides and make sure you watch them and if you hear them fighting to separate them promptly.

Good luck!

if the size difference is around 5-10 ten grams i would not do it at all. IMO i would keep them separate no matter if they are the same size or not, just for the piece of mind that i know there would not be a problem.

There are way to many geckos in this tank. One gecko requires a 20 gallon and ten gallons per extra gecko so with 3 gecko your looking at a 40 gallon tank for them to have space.

All of my geckos I bought from Petco, they all had 6-7 other geckos living with them and my geckos are 2-4 months old so they seem used to being in with others.

As you can tell by my enclosure, there is plenty of room and several hides for them, they however all favor the rock. They are comfortable inside of it and I had a third hide in there for a while but they didn't use it so I removed it.

If there were any problems I would do something but they seem happy with their current arrangement.

Just because Petco had them together doesn't mean there right. Petco also keeps light on crested geckos and keep multiple ones in a tank with a tiny cactus plant and that is it. Which is completly wrong. I don't know much about leos but im sure they will need a bigger cage when they get bigger.
