So I'm looking to take things more seriously, and with that, I've come to terms with blowing 'big' money on some good, solid geckos. So the first pair I'm adding, and maybe the only this season (I said Maybe), is Red Stripes. I've always been fascinated with them and it's a fun 'project' to have. Who better to get a pair from than Ron Tremper himself. So, here they are! They're not here yet because of the weather, but when they arrive, they should be RTB once they've settled in.

The female;

The only thing I've hatched out are Super Hypos/Sunglow and some mid-grade Tangerines, so I am super pumped on the change of scenery.

Thinking of pairing Him (pretty sure they're going to be named Him and Her) to my Bold Stripe to see what happens. I have no male good enough for her yet so this might finally be her time, after having her for 2 years and not breeding her. (And omg is she beautiful. Not to boast, but she's the best bold stripe I've seen)

Thanks for checking out the thread!!

Very nice! There are only a few breeders I can think of with nice red stripes anymore. Good luck!

Hopefully I will be on that list by next season, Kristi. That's why I resorted to Ron as I'm picky with spending my money and he had the male on his website, so I emailed and asked him if he had anything that ISN'T on the sight and he sent me the female, and then the other female. So I'm pretty stoked to have them as my main project. I'm just worried at how I'm going to price offspring as I want to be able to actually sell them but I don't want to depreciate their value by marking them wayyy cheaper than they are worth.

Devaluing a line is often an issue for me. This is just a Hobbie for me so I don't really care about how much I make but I don't want to ruin the market for the people doing this for a living. So when I vend at a show and need to move something I will sell say an atomic tang but only list it as a tang. That way I move some animals without devaluing someone's hard work. And some unknowing buyer hits the genetic jackpot.
