Introducing House Geckos to my basement..

I've lived in my house for 15 years, and during that time there has always been a civil war between spiders and crickets in my basement. House Geckos eat spiders and crickets, so I thought, "what if I release house geckos in my basement?"

If I put a basking area in the basement and a water dish, how long could a handful of them live in there? XD

I'd much rather see a gecko in my basement then some of the spiders down there.

I don't think it's a bad idea. I would be worried about it getting cold down there. Well that depends and where you live as well. I take it that these geckos will be wild caught

I know someone how let 3 house geckos out in there shop to keep control of any live food that got out and they have beenin there with no heat of their own just the heat from the tanks etc and have been there many years and you can still see them darting across the walls

i think its a good idea but you may want to set more crickets free down there after they eat all the food

In my apartment with a roomie.
Would that work for, well just a house?? I think my roommate is stupid enough to let some of my roaches &/or crix out as he tries to feed my animals when I'm away. Are house geckos easy to breed?
