Hi everybody,
So I just got my first gecko.
Chewy is about 7rs old, and is something of a "rescue" gecko. He was half of a breeding pair that the pet store herp lady said had been living and mating together for 6 years. Apparently he had stopped eating when his mate died, and the sweet herp lady at the store told me that she thought he needed a change of scenery to help him "find himself" again. He came from a mom & pop pet shop that LOVES their animals and breeds birds, rodents, and herps themselves for quality control, the herp specialist got teary when she handed Chewy over to me. I agree that it's all a little anthropomorphic, but it's a sweet story and now I'm in love with a Leopard Gecko.
So I brought him home, set up his enclosure, and....? I want to know more than what the impersonal websites and "leopard geckos for dummies" books have taught me, so hello geckoforums
