Ira took a nasty spill, maybe lethargic?

We have a leopard gecko at home who took a nasty spill last night. He only fell 2-3 feet, but he went completely limp for the first two or three minutes. As time went by, he regained consciousness and slowly began reacting to stimuli as normal, such as moving when we play with his toes or tail, and flipping back onto his tummy when we put him on his back. He was having some strong jaw spasms for a while, but those stopped within fifteen minutes. For the most part, he is back to normal now, and is walking around without dragging his feet. The only thing we're still worried about is that he still seems very dazed after leaving him to rest in his terrarium overnight. His eyes were usually very expressive, but now he just has a blank stare. His eyes are clear and unclouded, and they still focus on things, but they're always wide open, rather than giving us the cocky glances he usually gave us. He still blinks and closes his eyes when we touch his face, but he just seems very sluggish. I'm pretty positive that he still recognizes us, as he walks toward us and responds to our voice. He does not appear to have any broken bones, swelling, or internal bleeding from an external checkup.

He hasn't been eating very well lately, and I don't think he's eaten any worms yet today, so I wouldn't be able to distinguish between the previous condition and lack of appetite caused by this.

As it was just last night, I would check for any broken limbs or dark spots that could show internal bleeding. After that, I might just wait a few days to see if there are any changes in behaviour. I would think the first day he would not eat or be himself as he may be scared or shaken up. If he doesn't eat in a few days I would be more concerned. As far as the blank stares, sometimes our minds makes us think things have changed when they haven't. Because you are worried, you might believe his stares are different than they once were. I know that every time I think mine are sick, I think their tail is small but then I weigh them and they haven't actually lost any weight lol. just keep an eye on him and if he isn't back to himself in a few days, consider a vet call or visit

To add to what spots said also you may want to limit handling as much as you can the next couple days aside of handling him to check for injury. He needs time to rest and heal and get over the emotional (as well as any physical trauma) that he may have sustained in his fall. I once dropped my leo (well actually had him knocked out of my had) and he fell from standing height (A person standing that is) and hit a tile floor... went SPLAT and I thought he was dead... he was fine... no brusing, appetite never changed, poo'd as usual... just you could tell tho he wasn't himself emotionally for a couple days. I just let him alone and he told me when he was ready to come back out.
