is a 3ft viv too big for 1 leopard gecko

ok so i have a leopard gecko in a 18x18x18" exo terra terrarium. at the moment its just a baby so it has loads of room. well sometime in the future (may not be for another year or 2) i want to get my bearded a 4ft tank and instead of throwing out or selling hr 3ft viv i was thinking about putting my leopard gecko in it.

i dont want anymore geckos so will it be ok for just one gecko.

I don't think going bigger hurts anything so long as it can still find its food, which shouldn't be any sort of problem in a 3 foot tank..

Clean your hand-me-downs well though.
