I need help determining if RW or Tremper. I know the determination is by eye color. Would like someone to explain the difference. Thanks!!

looks like a really dark tremper to me. Trempers have silverish eyes with red veins, Bells have pinkish eyes and Rainwaters have darker eyes with red veins but they tend to be lighter in color on the body.

Thanks. It is hard for me to tell. The person that I got her from said she was a Rainwater Enigma Raptor. Sorry, I just can't believe this.): She said the father was a Tangerine Enigma Raptor w/snake eyes & mother was a Rainwater Enigma Raptor. LOL!! Too many names to remember!!

Well if that is the case then she would have both Tremper and Rainwater genes. RAPTORS are Tremper albino. I would get clarification from who you bought it from.

Wow the breeder bred two enigmas both different albino strains? Very poor choice in pairing. Are you planning on breeding because this gecko is not a candidate for any breeding at all..

Sorry just reread what you posted and realized from that pairing you wouldn't get an albino so either the rainwater was het tremper or the tremper was het rainwater if indeed those parents you listed are the right morphs. Was the mother a rw enigma het raptor?

well if the father was raptor and the mother was het raptor she could get albino from the pairing. I would classify it as a Tangerine Tremper Albino het RW het RAPTOR. But yeah I wouldn't breed this one. Who did you get it from?

No intentions of breeding her. She is a Craigslist baby and just will be a pet only. I am brand new at this, but the breeders terminology made me question her. She never did mention het..just that mother was a Rainwater Enigma Raptor. Was not happy when I saw she bred enigma to another enigma. I also found out that the other girl, Lucy was a Hypo Tangerine Enigma. She is sweet but circles, has miss strikes, and star gazes. Breeder told me her mother was a Tangerine Enigma and Father a Tangerine Enigma. She is also pet only.

Breeder was not one of you guys. She is local and must sell on Craigslist and local pet shops. I guess this is what everyone means by "muddy waters". ):

oh sorry I thought one was het but yeah if both were RAPTOR and the mother was Rainwater then it has both albino genes but is showing Tremper. She doesnt look like an enigma but will carry the gene. Ugh breeders like that are what make it so hard for new responsible breeders. I am glad they got in good hands though. Who knows where the others went and who will be breeding them and muddying up the gene pool...

Wow I need to pay attention. The parents she told you are definitely not right. If she bred enigma to enigma you would get all enigmas so the gecko you got would be an enigma which she is clearly not. And there is no such thing as a rw raptor because you cannot express two albino genes visually In a gecko so something was not right with that breeder lol. Atleast she is in good hands and won't be breeding Gj! Congrats and Gl!

If both parents are only 1 copy enigma, it is possible to get a non enigma... :)

But there is no such thing as a RW enigma raptor... Because raptor is a tremper and tremper and rw don't mix... So I think she meant rw enigma het raptor, which makes it a big mess in terms of genetics since the LG has both albino strains...

Correct me if I'm wrong guys... :)

Technically there is not such thing as a RW RAPTOR but either the mother was a het RAPTOR or she was breeding geckos that she hatched and she knew that the mother had RW and Tremper in her so called her a Rainwater Enigma RAPTOR. Either way it is a big mess.
