Is he mad at me?

Ok weird thing, just in the past two days my gecko has been kind of 'talkative'. He is a juvinile and I have had him for almost a week now, and when I take him out to clean his cage or something when I am handling him he squeeks and makes weird noises at me, does it mean he doesn't want me holding him or something? I have had a Leo make a weird noise before, it was when I was handling my boyfriends leo and it is when he gets antsy and acts like he is done with being out of his cage. I am not being rough or anything, I'm just wondering if they hate me or it just wants to be in his tank.

He is probably still getting used to his habitat. When I first got mine they used to hiss when I held them. They just have to get used to you.

That's just his self defense, nothing to worry about. He will calm down once he adjusts to his habitat and you, as stated above.
