A few weeks ago I found this gecko at a pet store and came back yesterday and he was still there. He must have been the pick of the shipment because when I came back to get him, he was much bigger the only one that didn't die.
I scooped him up and he is doing very well. He has a very slight eyelid crinkle/chip that may go away with a couple sheds, and he is missing the claw on the 4th digit on his right hand, but those are barely noticeable. He is practically breeder quality.
He is a deep yellow/orange with yellow/green on his head and back. His spots are a dark brown with only one truly black spot which is a paradox. He has a ton of carroting on his tail, which is a great size for such a small gecko. He has some spots on his back, about ten more or less. He has visible hemipenal bulges and noticeable femoral pores that are actual holes not just indents as a female would have.
I named him Howl after Howl's Moving Castle and because he uses his tail to hold on to my fingers as a howler monkey would use it's tail to hold on to branches.
I just have a few questions about him.
What morph is he? Could he be a hypo tangerine carrot tail? Or an emerine? He does have some green on his back.
How old do you think he is? He is 6 in' long and visually sexable.
Do you think he'll keep his brilliant deep yellow color to adulthood?
Here is a picture. Sorry for poor quality, I don't have my phone.
