Is Lysol is ok for cleaning cage for gecko

like just using it and wiping? I dont think so, just because you cant gurantee that every bit of the spray is going to get on the glass. and the geckos lick everything. I would recommend cleaning with dish soap outside and washing very very well. Don't want any of it left in the tank when you put the leo(s) back in.

No, you need something that is safe for reptiles. The active ingredient in Lysol, benzalkonium chloride, is considered toxic to birds, fish, and small mammals. I don't know if any tests have been done specifically on reptiles, but considering that is is toxic to other small animals I wouldn't risk it.

Vinegar works well and is non-toxic, although you have to let the cage air out a bit afterwards. Non-toxic cleaners that use citric acid also work well. Just keep in mind that geckos lick everything and are in constant contact with their cages, so any kind of long term exposure to a chemical isn't going to be good for them.
