is my algae magnet safe

my algae magnet is marina which is a good make,, it cost me seven quid (14dollars),,, can i leave it in my fish tank or is it dabgerous.....its cased in plastic

For the most part, yes. There are a few fish, mostly knifefish, that can be harmed by strong magnetic fields though, so you may want to look up any you aren't sure about.
