Hi there, I'm a new leopard gecko owner as of about a month ago and I own 2 juvenile geckos (not too sure of their age) who I believe are female, is one of my leos gravid? I've heard several different opinions and I would like more.. 10402751_1420475544895568_8898453044832428641_n.jpg

Well, from this picture I would say your gecko is definitely a she. However, the gravid part can be tricky from a picture. To me those appear to be fat deposits. If they were eggs, the left one would be up higher towards the torso. They would also be A Lot bigger. That's just my 2 cents.

Just to make the distinction, ovulating and being gravid arent the same thing. One is the production and subsequent release of eggs to be fertilized, the other being actually carrying possibly viable eggs after mating.

I dont mean to talk down to you at all if you already knew that, but a lot of people dont. :)

The best you could get is whether or not shes ovulating. Unless you knew that she was placed with a male and that male bred her theres no way to actually tell if shes gravid or not based just looking. But shes definitely a she.
