Is My Lizard okay!?

Hello, everyone.

I have had my little guy, Gizmo (G.G. for short— Stands for Gizmo the Gecko ), for about 13 years now, and he is looking a bit thin! He is eating normally, pooping normally, drinking normally, shedding normally, and acting like he's always been, but I am not too sure why he isn't as "fat" as he used to be and it's making me worried. I will attach photos and would greatly appreciate any input or advice!

We feed him every 5 days or so. It's usually 12 large crickets which are covered with calcium and 2 silk worms every now and again as a treat.

Yikes. That's a very skinny gecko, but not quite deathly

Since he's getting up there in age, I consider trying to feed him more often.
It's a good sign that he's eating and pooping and seems alert, just needs some more fat.

If you want to fatten him up I recommend giving a few waxworms once in a while, but be careful cause they're a bit addicting to leos.

Your leo is very underweight be monitored a bit.
Make sure he keeps eating ( hopefully more often) and pooping.

12 crickets every 5 days seems like enough for a healthy adult, but perhaps he isn't retaining the fat for whatever reason

Try 4 every other day instead?

Thank you so much for the feed backl! I am going to try to feed him more in the next few days and see if there is a difference throughout the next month. Could heat be a factor of his weight? He is currently in my basement which is a bit cold. He has a heating pad, but I don't think it's enough... Ah I am hoping for the best for my little guy and if I can help him by changing his location I most certainly will!

It truly depends on the temperature of the place, you should have a thermometer. Should be around 80 on the warm side.
If you feel it's warmer somewhere else, i'd say to go ahead and move home, if not just to keep him closer.

Do you have a thermometer in his viv or a temp gun so you can check what the actual temperatures are? This might be a good idea!
