Is sandstone safe?

I was walking home today and found some really neat, small pieces of sandstone. I'm tempted to bake it and boil it and then put it in the leopard gecko's tanks, but I wasn't sure if it would be wise since it so rough and grainy. Any input or experience?

I am not sure, I think you could, it may be hard to keep clean if it is so porous. If it was really rough it might irritate their skin.... Sorry I am not much help
