but she only mated on the 11th, she cant have 4 eggs in that short a period of time?? is she realy confused that she is only supposed to produce 2? eep is she ok?

It is poss to have that many follicles if she wasn't bred when she first started ovulating. Or if copulation didn't actually take place, sometimes the males will miss their mark. They will hold the follicles and absorb them sometimes. I'd just keep an eye on her.

if i put her back in with the male she doesnt want to mate. so you think she will reabsorb rather than lay?

It's very poss, I'd just keep a real good eye on her. Make sure she has a laybox just in case she does lay, and a warm soak here in there may make her more comfortable.

ill give her a warm soak now, she has a lay box, she tore it up a few days ago so i thought she was going to lay but i guess not. ill let you know how she gets on.

She's definitely gravid, but those eggs have a ways to go before they'll be laid. Stop putting the male in with her and let her be.

ok thanks shes on her own, i only put her in to see if she was receptive and she wasnt so i put her back, she has only been in with him twice in fact. first time they mated and this time they didnt. thanks ill see how she gets on

she laid two eggs last night. normal size but very dented and so most probably not fertile unless i got to them too late. cant see any other eggs inside her now just ther ovulating. should i try to mate her again in a few days time so she can produce fertile eggs or just leave her be?

cool i guess they must of been shapen funny in her belly to make them look so odd cos my other gecko that it gravid her eggs look egg shaped in her belly hehe
