Is there a max limit on how much to feed a 17gram juvenile Leo?

I've read it so many times before: "feed what they eat in 15 minutes." But my 17g Leo can eat 25crickets in 10 minutes and he is still hunting for more!!

Is this too much or just keep feeding him and put some weight on him? He poops massively (yesterday's 20+ crickets) each day AFTER he eats another 20+.

and how much "nutrients" do they actually store from each individual feeding? (as in, is excess feeding just going to pass right through him uselessly?)

I feed my babies at that size dubia that are the same size as large crickets and they do fine. If he eats too much he may throw up his dinner. If he does I would hold off on feeding him for 24-48 hours and then feed him again. Throwing up once can be part of the "oh my that's what full feels like" learning curve for a baby gecko. More than once and your gecko may be sick. I like to weigh mine each week. If they gain more than 2g in 7 days then I decrease the amount I feed as I don't want them to grow too quickly.

He is definitely packing on the grams. He was 15.8g when I got him home on 12/22, and now he is 19.4 on 12/29 (after I fed him yesterday)....so that is +3.6g in 7day (including the 20+ small crickets he stuffed himself with just prior to weighing).

Tonight I fed him large crickets one at a time. I stopped feeding at 4. I don't know how many large crickets a 19g cricket can hold down. :(

He's eating between 4-6 Large crickets each night at 8pm. If he leaves 1 or 2 of the 6, they are gone by 7am. :) .....gone into his belly...lol
