I feel your pain, Nev.
We bred 3 girls this year. One did nothing, one slugged out and the other died 2 weeks before giving birth.
Starting to wonder if the boa gamble is worth it. Man, is it frustrating!

This year seems to suck for alot of people.Out of two litters,I had a total of 9 babies. One female had 8,the other had 1.I have never seen a female have only 1! Hang in there. You are not the only one that is dissapointed with the numbers.

K i know how disapointing it is, but you cant give up. this is the problem with boas. you can do everything PERFICT and have a female and male on there 5 year breeding, and for no reason at all, they would just throw nothing but slugs. this is the first time its happen for me, but you just gadda keep trying to push on for the next year. cause beleave me K when you finally get baby snakes its one of the greatest things ever. thanks everyone else

Well, we got 24 from one of the females last year. This year, though, nothing out of her.
You're right about babies, though. Nothing like walking in the snake room to that smell and getting to spend the next couple hours elbow deep in baby goo checking out those beautiful new little lives.:D
Guess I'm getting a bit "gun shy" after loosing 2 females now. (One from complications after birth, the other just recently, 2 weeks before she was to deliver)
I can deal with the slugs. Its loosing the mommas that breaks my heart, you know?

You gonna try pairing them back up this fall?
