Is this an excessively wet puddle around normal poop? (see pic)

He is the only gecko (in a tank) that I have "potty trained" so I have no other situation to compare. He has been doing this pretty consistently for as long as I can remember and he seems/acts/appears/weighs healthy. I know the white excrement is "urate" (concentrated urine; to preserve body water).

Is the excessively wet puddle normal? Is it urine (because of excess hydration) or his "manly stuff" (to mark territory)? I am just wondering what it is but I definitely wanted to ask just in case it is a sign of something wrong that I don't suspect. (I see the dried puddle marks in some tubs, but the puddle is only half this size....and the puddle pictured isn't his biggest puddle).

Ok...whew...just checking. So is that moisture from the pooping process or is that "scent-marking fluid"? I have seen him climbing the glass, trying to get to the females in the next tank (with a barrier so they don't see each other), and he is oooozing fluid from the nether-regions. That's why I wonder if this is his "special sauce" during pooping or just when he is trying to get to the females he can't see.

well my females leave large puddles too And i honestly have no clue what is coming out of your male... maybe he is just a little TOO excited for the girls

agreed normal, poop is moist so the substrate absorbs it. squeezing a dry one out would be very uncomfortable lmao.

Last night, after a wetter spot with poop than the old pic above.....i looked up and saw Smoke going to the fresh napkin. I thought "wow...2 poops??" Instead he raised his tail and squirted fluid straight out his backside. Then he circled around for a minute before coming back and dropping a urate-only. I am oddly fascinated and curious what he shot out. I only caught it because i was intentionally trying to watch him poop...gross..lol it was a split-second squirt that shot out like a watergun.

This is a pic from tonight. This is a little more than usual, but I wanted to post it to give a better idea of what is "normal" for him (more than the pic I posted about a week ago). I've already circled the 2 spots that he seems to have "sprayed" and a 3rd spot where it "dripped" out when he was finishing.

I still want to know what this is...I've seen him squirt it....yucky...lol
