Is this common?

OK, I have had my 2 leos, Bandit and Daisy, since the end of July. At first Bandit was really calm when being cleaned out, and Daisy actually bit me a few times before she calmed down. Now it's in reverse- Daisy would sit on my hand all day if she wanted, and Bandit often tries to bite me when I pick him up. Is it just because he is a male, and can perhaps smell Daisy nearby? My mum reckons so, and I just want to hear from fellow owners.

I would say they are about 5 or 6 months old
