I photographed a gecko's poop. What the heck is wrong with me?????

That aside....I was wondering if the poop is normal? It is dark brown, but always has that white lump on it, which I presume is the calcium and vitamin supplement. Is that because the calcium is not really being digested?

I dust all the crickets (and sometimes the mealworms) with a calcium and vit supplement (its a zoomed product). Is this healthy for the gecko? Our gecko is about 5 inches long, probably about 5 months old I would think.

Yep, that's normal. Looks fine! Same as all our five gecko's for the past year anyways :p

The white part of the "poop" is the urates.(Crystalized urine basically) This is so there is minimal liquid loss out of the gecko. Which is normal.

It just occured to me, someone must have dissected that poop to study it under a microscope so they could come to the conclusion it was urates.

I don't feel so bad now ;-)
