so i moved my shadow into a bigger area, the first day he was going into his new hides i made and walked around, but now he is just curled up in a ball in the back of his log and wont come out to eat or anything. is this normal?
could this be from heat problems? i noticed its about 88 in there with the UTH but when i turn the heat lamp on too he goes into his cool hide so i know its to hot, could this be why he is acting wierd or is it just because he needs time to adjust? thanks

Some Leo's become stressed with change and will hesitate to come out their hides or eat for a day or two. If he started acting this way right after the change than it's most likely the cause.

it could be stress from moving him but I would bump up the heat on the hot side to around 92-94. He might go to the cool side but he will move to the warm side when he needs it. Otherwise just give him time to adjust.

I really fear recommending temps. It seems some are more tolerant to heat than others. My leo will not spend more than a minute on the hot side if the temp is over 90. Not even at night, I know because I hardly sleep :( This has also been the case with some others. I have a thermometer with a probe and a laser gun which I compare. Very tricky.
