i just reread it... the accuracy says +/- 4 degrees F or +/- 2.5% (whichever is great)
that's only 2.5 degrees C

the pe-1 is +/- 2 degrees, but it doesn't say F or C they might mean C and not specify so that their product seems better

mine should still be good enough, right?

I used to sell those ones from Radio Shack, and play with them. lol They're not too bad really. The one we played with was usually 2ºF+, however that was the only one we played with. We never tried the rest.

We had a hard time selling them, originally price being 50 dollars had something to do with that but another reason we heard was, most people who want a temp gun want very accurate temperatures, with a range of +/- 1º. (Not sure why... but I was told that by about 3 different customers. lol)

So, do you need a gun that has less of a difference then 2.5%, or can you live with the possibility of there being a 4 degree difference? I guess it depends on how accurate you want or need it to be.

well it's for incubating... but I suppose I will just keep the measured temps closer to the extremes for temp sexing and I should be safe.
