Hi everyone, I'm a new to keeping Leos. I have a SHTCT baby which is about two and half week old. I'm looking forward to upgrade its terrarium when it grows bigger. Is the setup below safe for geckos?

It looks really nice but you might have a couple issues. One issue you might have is with feeders (crickets, mealworms..etc) hiding under rocks and then dying especially because you'll need to feed small crickets to your baby. A possible solution would be to use a bowl similar to the one you have in there for water to put mealworms in. You might get the odd mealworm that climbs out but for the most part they'll stay in the bowl.
Another problem you might run into is getting the correct amount of heat to the topside of your stones if you are heating from underneath the tank (uth). When using stones or ceramic tiles that I've used in the past I had to direct more heat to the bottom by sandwiching the uth between tin foil and the bottom of the tank. If it's a larger tank you may also need to supplement with a heat lamp to even keep the "cold side" over 70F (21C) depending on your room temp. Being in Malaysia you might not have that problem that I experienced being in Canada..lol

Hopefully this info might help. It's just a couple of the problems I've personally experienced with glass enclosures. Your decorations do look very nice though.

ps don't forget a supplements bowl of calcium in there for your new baby!

Heat isn't a problem, in my country, Malaysia, nobody uses heat pad/lamp because of our hot tropical whether here. The only issue is only feeders hiding in the between those stones :) any othe idea?
