does anyone know if this is true? i read it on a site just want to confirm.

Silkworms contain an enzyme called serrapeptase that makes calcium absorption more efficient.
Silkworms can reduce inflammation and pain.
Silkworms can break down arterial plaque.

if she eats supers your sure she wont eat silkies??, for now i'm just going to go back and forth to pj's they got rid of there old stock of silks and horns, they have a much cleaner setup and stock now. I wish horns werent so expensive, theres a buy 12 silks get 1 free horn manager special and my jungle devoured it..i got luckly its a new shipment so there small now. later on ill jsut buy eggs, that would be awsome if they still bred them :p. your pets would be in heaven

I was breeding them for awhile. They're fairly high maintenance in my opinion to keep the worms happy and healthy. Maybe it's because I'm kind of lazy but they do require a bit of time per day to keep them from dying. They're prone to dying from bacteria fairly easily.

Unfortunately, my geckos stopped eating them as well which was very annoying..lol I think the silkworm guts must taste like crap. Every time one of my geckos would tear one open while eating it they would spit it back out and walk away. I suspect the type of food/chow fed to the silkworms may also play into the silkworm's taste but I never tried them myself!

It's always best to offer at least 2 different food items a week. Keep in mind that they do not need to eat as many silkworms as you would feed crickets or mealworms. I would avoid feeding waxworms completely if possible.

Yes, I had mentioned that before especially if the chow is in the cup sitting out in room temperature. Works best to buy the food seperate which is kept refrigerated.
