potato bugs, sow bugs, pill bugs all different names.

I heard they are high is calcium...Im thinking about starting a culture come spring.

They are great in realistic tanks..they will eat feces and rotting food and cause no harm to the herps in the tank like an uneaten cricket could.

I use to use them in my hermit crab tanks to help keep it clean, and with more research ive done they are great for calcium.

Wanted to know if ppl are currently using them, so I could get their reviews.

most uses seem to be like yours. for cleaning up uneaten food in hard to clean enclosures like hermit crab tanks or tarantula cages. from looking at the things (sow bugs) they really don't seem to have a lot of meat on them compared to how much shell there is.
roaches are simple, meaty and delicious.

potato bugs are what we call Jerusalem Crickets around here.

isopods you can get in all different sizes there are HUNDREDS of species including a $600 dollar deep sea one.

You can get some 2 inches long that act the same way as a 1/2 inch one.

Thank you for your input.
