Ok I made a post earlier sometime about my bblizzard male not eating good, he is 74 grams so he has lost a gram and I'm not really THAT worried about it, but this week he has shown no interest in eating ANYTHING I feed all my leo's every other day and the other 4 all went to mealworms fine, but he wanted crickets only and shows NOTHING in wanting mealies period, I even have left some in his house a few times and the same amount appears each morning. I've tried superworms, won't touch them. Oh but if I throw a waxworm in there he goes OFF. I'm sure there is no way to give him a diet of waxworms?

Ok so the problem now is, he won't the crickets period, he apporches them and licks them now and doesn't bother to eat them at all. He was going to be my main breeder for next season but I'm starting to second guess that now if he doesn't show any signs of eating better, he hasn't been the best eater since I got him, but my goodness he was almost 80 grams when I got him at the reptile show.

I'm just sorta at a loss on what to offer him now, I've tried the things I have access to in my town and the local petstores, any suggestions?

No mealies, crickets, superworms..

It could just be that time of year too, not sure where you are in NC but its cold on my end and it got cold just all of a sudden. Even though all the temps are the same in my set ups the day/night light cycle has changed a bit and some of mine are not eating well too.

Hehe, my diet is of mealies and waxies all the time with some pheonix till we run out. You could TECHNICALLY do a diet of pure waxies but youd have to buy the big huge plump ones like they sell in petco and gutload and vit them every time. But after a while expect a gecko that rolls instead of walks.

I'm right outside charlotte in the sticks, and it got cold really quick here to.

Maybe that is what the problem is his temps stay pretty regular so I guess I will just wait and see what happens. I tried rubbing the mealie guts it didn't work.

I have one gecko that stopped eating for 3 weeks already and lost a few grams; the temperature in my area is still in the 70s. I think its the light cycle that is playing a main role here, as the sky is now darkened much earlier than before.

boy my herps have been eating more since the weather has gotten cold.

we get to the low 40's at night and my breadies, cresties, and spots have all started eating like pigs.

hell my breaded dragon went through 10 supers and a few crickets last night.
which is WAY more than usual.

Well he's shedding as we speak and normally he doesn't eat at all when shedding so I will have to wait and see next feeding day which is tomorrow. I just hate crickets I bought over 100 tuesday and 60% of them are already dead I had to pick out of the tub.

haha same here they drive me nuts!!!! I will keep feeding him crickets but he won't take them tonight was feeding night and he didn't want to eat.

I don't think he has any parasites, but I'm sorta leaning towards a fecal or at least a vet trip, I have to take it off work 2 weeks in advance! So I might go ahead and make the appointment and maybe by the time it rolls around he will be back to eating at least crickets again.
