Hello All Gecko Lovers!
I am new to this forum and would just like to briefly introduce myself to you all.
My name is Marie and I recently found out I have an addiction to Leopard Geckos (lol). Like many (or shall I say all) owners of leopard geckos, there was that one thing that caught our hearts to make us love this reptile. For me, his name was ED.
My b/f has had him for 6 years now and when I was told that he had a lizard as a pet, I was too scared to even go in his house. Like many people, we're afraid of what we don't know, so I gave it a chance. I carefully pet him on his head and he crawled up my arm, sat on my shoulder kissed/licked my neck, and I instantly melted.
The reason why he was named ED is because he has Two regenerated Tails and so the name is short for "Special ED." My b/f "rescued" him from a pet store because everyone in the store would make fun of him. "Mom, ew look at that one, he looks retarded". From what we uncovered the employee at a pet store scared ED enough to make him drop his tail. The reason why he has (2) tails is because the tail didn't drop fully and the new one regenerated and so now he has two tails!
He's the sweetest most Beautiful thing in the world to us no matter his appearance. He actually keeps me company at times, and we would fall asleep together!
I am actually getting ED his partner a SHTCT (Libby) next week in the mail. All thanks to Cody from Progeckos.com. I had to give props to this guy, he made buying my own Gecko for the first time easy and comfortable. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Thanks, Cody!
