I am going to a reptile show on Sunday. I'm getting my first Leos next week as well (not at the show).

I have the set-up nearly completely (did the whole custom-rock thing) but I need FEEDERS.

I know a varied diet is best. I would like to avoid crickets if possible. I know shows are a great place to buy insects, so please tell me what you would buy for:

2 adult geckos .... for at least a couple months (or longer).

What type of insects, how many, and what size? Please help and let me know what you normally purchase! :)

Dude, I'm pretty sure that you should try writing in complete sentences. Darkling beetles should never be fed. Their chitin ratio is horrible and can risk impaction. The beetles could be used to set up a colony of worms to provide a staple. Mealies and Supers are fine to feed alone. I don't feed cricket as well. Google to figure out how to set up the colony.

I guess it depends on what you want to feed your leos. I feed mine meal worms because they tend to avoid super worms. You can get a 1000 count of meal worms with bedding for about $10 or so. Keep them in the refrigerator and take out what you need for the day/week. They last a long time. You'll only need to buy about once a month or so.

Supers will keep nicely as well but they stay out at room temperature. I'm less familiar with their pricing. My guess would be 300-500 worms a month?

You could also go with roaches, but they tend to be more expensive. Also you have to be comfortable with having roaches in your house. Dubias require a little heat to make them grow and live longer. If you plan on starting a roach colony, be prepared for very slow results. It's why I switched to meal worms.

I feed mine mainly Mealworms, Pheonix Worms and the adult gets Superworms, and about once a week I will throw in a couple of waxies just as a treat. I have started my own mealworm colony and plan on starting a super colony as well but it can take a couple of months to get going so I buy 1000 at a time while they get going and I refrigerate the mealworms and waxies and the pheonix worms and supers stay at room temp.
